How do I get started?
You're already off to a great start just by being here! The first step is to think about what kind of trip you’d like to take—maybe a cruise, a laid-back beach escape, or an epic road trip through New Zealand. You don’t need all the answers right now—this is just the starting point. Then click on "GET IN TOUCH" and tell me all about your trip.
Next, We'll schedule a time to chat so I can get a sense of your travel style and preferences. This helps me design a trip that’s perfectly tailored to you.
Once I have all your info, I’ll create a customized proposal that may include flights, cruises, hotels, excursions, and more—along with pricing. If anything isn’t quite right, we’ll tweak it together until it fits your vision. Planning should be fun, not stressful, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.
Do you charge a fee for your services?
For many trips, there is no upfront planning fee. I’m paid by the trusted travel partners I work with—hotels, cruise lines, tour companies, and vacation providers—so you receive personalized support and expert guidance at the same price you’d find online, but with far less stress and much more support.
For more custom trips—such as multi-destination itineraries or when you're looking for help deciding where to go—I charge a $99 planning retainer. This allows me to dedicate the time to research, design, and build a thoughtful, well-matched itinerary for you.
When you move forward with booking through me, the $99 is applied back toward your trip. If you choose not to move forward, it simply covers the planning work already completed.
If a request falls outside of my supplier network, I’ll always let you know in advance if any additional service fee applies—no surprises.
Airfare Booking
Airlines do not pay commission, so airfare is handled a bit differently.
If you’d like me to research, book, and manage your flights, a ticketing fee applies per booking (not per person):
This fee covers researching the best options, monitoring pricing, handling ticketing, and making sure your flights align seamlessly with your overall trip.
Because this fee reflects the time and care involved in researching and managing your flights, it is non-refundable once flight work has begun. Ongoing support is always included if any changes or issues arise along the way.
If airfare is included as part of a commissionable package, this fee is typically waived.
Can I still earn points or miles?
In most cases, yes! Many airlines and hotel brands still allow you to earn points or miles when booking through a travel advisor. I’ll confirm this for you when planning your trip.
Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking online?
Online booking sites can be convenient, but they don’t offer the personalized service and expert guidance that a travel advisor provides. I help you navigate the options, handle the details, and make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Plus, if anything unexpected happens while you’re traveling, you’ve got someone in your corner to help—no call centers, no waiting on hold.
